Science allowing us to explain how things work can also lead to improving things. Like how humans, along with everything else in the world, stay on Earth because of gravitational force. That was discovered by using science and finding that out then allowed scientists to be able to start figuring out how to break the gravitational pull which lead to inventions such as rockets so that we could gain enough speed to brake the gravitational pull holding us to the Earth so that we could explore space. The looking for technology sophisticated enough for space travel also lead to inventions that apply to cars, computers, lasers, and other fancy, complicated stuff.
To make things easy I suppose I can just say that without science basically all of the inventions we have today, such as computers, cars, and televisions, wouldn't even exist because we wouldn't know how anything works and therefore wouldn't be able to better anything. So without science life would suck.
The summary of this post would be that we learn science so that we can explain things that occur in our daily lives and so that we can improve things that may hinder us from having an even easier life.

Those are some great reasons for learning science. However, why can't you all learn science, since you are so good at it and the let the rest of us take off? You can tell us what you all find out and that way we can all benefit from it!
Like your first sentence summed it up perfectly. Great ideas. also you always have very complete reasons or a lot of info to back up your point
thanks for your suggestions, subbumaffu.
you're blogs are good as well.
although i have made it my unofficial "goal" to keep you from achieving yours.
